Challenges Experienced by EduCrypt

The EdTech platform EduCrypt has experienced rapid growth in the last few years. However, it has also brought a series of operational and financial challenges related to its cloud infrastructure, which made high-quality service delivery a bit complex.

Below are the key challenges highlighted that our client has experienced and come to us for a robust solution:

  • Ensuring Data Privacy for Student Information :

The data added by the students on the EdTech platform are considered sensitive, and EduCrypt had to ensure security and compliance with strict data protection. This required the implementation of robust security measures to safeguard personal and academic records from potential breaches. Additionally, EduCrypt needed a system capable of managing access control across multiple users and stakeholders while maintaining a seamless user experience.

The Solution We Delivered

AppSquadz delivered a comprehensive solution to EduCrypt that not only addressed their cloud governance and cost management needs but also enhanced the scalability, security, and performance of their platform.

The following are the key aspects of the solution we delivered to ensure the platform's success:

  • Developed Robust Multi-Tenant Security Architecture : AppSquadz implemented a robust governance framework using AWS Control Tower to automate account creation and enforce consistent policies across the multi-account environment. Centralized monitoring and compliance tracking were established through AWS Config and AWS Security Hub, while AWS CloudTrail ensured detailed audit logging. Security enhancements included a multi-tenant architecture with role-based access controls, multi-factor authentication, and web application protection via AWS WAF.
  • Designed Cost-efficient Microservices Infrastructure : To optimize costs, a microservices-based infrastructure was designed, enabling EduCrypt to scale specific components independently without over-provisioning. AWS Cost Explorer and Budgets provided real-time visibility and alerts for expenditures, while AWS Savings Plans and Reserved Instances ensured cost savings for predictable workloads. Furthermore, an adaptive Content Delivery Network (CDN) was created with AWS CloudFront to enhance global content distribution by dynamically adjusting delivery based on user location and network conditions. This approach improved performance while maintaining cost efficiency.

Results:

The partnership with AppSquadz and AWS delivered 99.9% compliance with data protection standards, 85% fewer possible security breaches, and a considerable improvement in student data privacy through the implementation of a robust multi-tenant security architecture and adaptive infrastructure. The microservices-based strategy allowed for a 300% increase in the user population without sacrificing platform performance, while also enabling a 40% decrease in cloud infrastructure expenses. By lowering content delivery latency by 60%, the adaptive Content Delivery Network (CDN) made sure that instructional information was delivered seamlessly in all parts of the world. These outcomes not only resolved EduCrypt's initial operational and financial challenges but also positioned the platform for scalable, secure, and cost-efficient growth in the competitive EdTech landscape.
